We proudly have earned the respect and affiliation of over 40 optometrists throughout Michigan who refer patients to our centers.
Michigan Center for Outpatient Ocular Surgery is a subsidiary of Fraser Eye Care Center and Eye Care Center of Port Huron and is one of the first state-licensed, Medicare certified, free-standing outpatient surgery facilities in Michigan. It is dedicated exclusively to the medical and surgical care of the eye. The surgery center is recognized internationally as a Cataracts surgery center.
The Laser Institute of Michigan is a division of Fraser Eye Care Center and Eye Care Center of Port Huron. At the Laser Institute of Michigan, we have the latest advances in vision correction technology including LASIK, LASEK, EPI-LASEK, and PRK.
Fraser Eye Care and Eye Center of Port Huron, Michigan Center for Outpatient Ocular Surgery and the Laser Institute of Michigan are all accredited through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). This voluntary process insures that our quality of services performance meets or exceeds nationally recognized standards.
There were approximately 250 core standards that were reviewed and verified through AAAHC including:
- rights of patients
- governance, administration
- quality of care
- quality management and improvement
- clinical records and health information
- facilities and environment.
