History

With a passion for helping people correct their vision and see the world, Dr. Czajkowski opened Fraser Eye Care Center and Michigan Center for Outpatient Ocular Surgery in 1983. Fraser Eye Care Center quickly became recognized for pioneering industry standards for eye care and unparalleled patient care. Michigan Center for Outpatient Ocular Surgery became equally critical allowing doctors to perform surgical techniques with all the state-of-the-art technology and safety standards of a hospital, while maintaining a comfortable setting for patients.

In 1989, Fraser Eye Care Center was ready to expand with a second location and the Eye Center of Port Huron was opened. This division is equally respected among industry physicians and patients alike.

To serve the growing demand for laser corrective treatments, The Laser Institute of Michigan opened in 2004 as a dedicated refractive surgery center. In early 2005, Fraser Eye Care Center became one of the first centers to offer the VISX S4 with Iris Recognition and CustomVue LASIK. This advanced laser technology platform thoroughly integrates data collected with other testing systems to deliver precision custom laser treatments.

With nearly 25 years of expertise and a solid reputation in the industry, Fraser Eye Care Center and the Eye Care Center of Port Huron have seen steady growth. We continue to invest in our equipment and people to bring cutting edge technology and treatment to our patients. Now, with four full time ophthalmologists, two optometrists and a staff of certified ophthalmic technicians and registered nurses, we provide the very best the ophthalmic community has to offer.
